Nagy: I think Justin Fields’ return has given our offense a spark
“It’s really hard, yeah,” coach Matt Nagy said Monday, “but my job is to protect our players and get them ready to play, and so it is really important to me to get this thing right.”
Fields returned to practice on Wednesday after missing the past two games. The Bears are off Monday.
A news release from the Bears on Monday night stated Fields’ return to action was “due to a full recovery of his original broken ribs”.
The second-round pick from September’s draft returned to practice last week. In eight games, Fields has completed 64.2% of his passes for 784 yards with five touchdowns, an interception and a passer rating of 81.5. He has also run nine times for 83 yards.
