Hitting the waves of Sicily — after the sunsets and crowds of sunbathing tourists has passed, locals and visitors alike dive into the waters of a picturesque stretch of coastline to enjoy the island’s rich tradition of sailing. And the island’s natural beauty can be seen in so many other ways as well, like the latest events taking place at its iconic golf courses.
Here’s where golfing visitors can enjoy opportunities to get on the links on the Mediterranean island
Marina Liguria
In the heart of the historic center, a reimagined clubhouse and firing range will be added to Marina Liguria’s five 18-hole championship courses. Once completed the marina’s work will allow the golf tour company to expand its growing base of golfers and, in doing so, move the island into a new era.
Termina Del Campero
The oldest golf course in the island will celebrate its 40th anniversary with the addition of the Mandara Beach Course, while a new waterslide will add to the resort’s entertainment proposition.
Castellagno di Tribacino
The Mission Club, once a favorite of the English, is now part of the San Marco Waterfront Hotel Resort. The latest additions to the cocktail scene at Castellagno, an Italian all-inclusive resort, include a sports centre, hotel spa and pool.
Zana’s No 53 Club
Those seeking a laid-back, adventurous course can take a break at Zana’s No 53, a boutique golfing resort launched this year by resort owners and former professional footballers Ronaldo and Gisele Bundchen.
